Using Promotional Wooden Nickels to Boost Sales

This past week, I worked with a customer on a promotion using wooden nickels as a promotional product in order to boost sales in their chain of fast food restaurants. I told this customer that my other restaurant customers have taught me the value of targeting children in fast food marketing. I went so far as to suggest that the restaurant give away the kids meals. He loved the idea for this reason. In order to get to the restaurant, his young customers nearly always need to hitch a ride with Mom & Dad. Of course, Mom & Dad are going to purchase a meal for themselves when they get to the restaurant. He ordered 100,000 wooden nickels with his logo on one side and "free kids meal" on the other side. His people will be handing them out at parades and fairs all across the state. This idea would work well for 100,000 wooden nickels or, perhaps just a few thousand of our plastic nickels, or maybe just a few hundred of our new ceramic nickels. The ceramic nickels are indestructible and can be washed and handed out an unlimited number of times. Next time, I will talk about our new rubber logo imprint method.
